Jo-Wilfried Tsonga scored a great 5-7 6-4 7-6 win over Andy Roddick to reach the semifinals of the Paris Master Series where he will play against James Blake.

Tsonga and Blake have chances of qualifing for the season-ending Master Cup in Shanghai.

"I have my destiny in my hands," Tsonga said.

The Frenchman saved 10 break points in the second set before going on to defeat Roddick on his fourth match point.

"I definitely had more than enough chances tonight so this one will probably stick with me for a little bit. Credit to him, he came up with probably six or seven volleys that were pretty tough on break points. He played very well." Andy Roddick said
